Degree Program at Mines: MS Geophysics

I received my Bachelor of Science degree in Geophysical Engineering from Colorado School of Mines in December 2016. After graduation I interned at EOG Resources where I worked on an exploration project in the Williston basin using 3D seismic attributes and fracture anisotropy volumes. I also worked on archiving legacy seismic data. I started with RCP in Fall 2017 working towards a Master of Science degree in Geophysics. I decided to continue my education at Mines in the RCP Consortium to take advantage of the wonderful industry partnerships and excellent mentorship from associated professors and sponsors.

I’m working on the Vaca Muerta Project and will be analyzing and interpreting the new multi-component 3D seismic survey. My research interests include integrated seismic interpretation using geological and engineering data as well as seismic inversion. I hope to use this data to better characterize the subsurface and enable improved well placement and stimulation.

In my free time I enjoy being outdoors doing activities such as hiking, mountain biking, and skiing. I’m also an expert bicycle mechanic with particular experience in electronic shifting systems so you also find me working in the garage customizing and repairing bikes or tuning up some skis in the winter.
